March Of Dimes testimonial letter

February 4, 2015

Rick Frazier

1700 W. Hamlin, #200

Rochester Hills, MI 48309

Dear Rick,

On behalf of the 4 million babies born last year that benefited from the March of Dimes research, vaccines, education and breakthroughs, it is with great honor that I thank you for your support. By attending the 2015 North American International Auto Show Charity Preview and designating the March of Dimes as the beneficiary of your ticket process you have helped fund the mission of the march of Dimes to prevent prematurity, birth defects and infant mortality.

Because of donors like you, the March of Dimes received over $345,600 from the purchase of Charity Preview tickets! To put this into perspective, this is enough money to support two of our research grants at the University of Michigan to discover if there is a genetic cause for preterm labor and as an intervention leading to prevention. With the prematurity rate in metro Detroit being of the highest in the country and employers spending 12 times as much in health care costs for premature babies compared to babies born with complications, every dollar toward the mission truly makes an impact in our community.

While this is certainly something to celebrate, our work is not finished. The Metro Detroit Division of March of Dimes will continue our efforts to ensure all babies have a healthy start throughout the year. We invite you to participate in March for Babies on April 26, the ITC Golf Classic presented by WJR on August 25, and the Signature Chefs Auction in the fall. Please consider continuing your support of healthier, stronger babies by joining us for one of these events.

I would be honored to have the opportunity to share with you and your organization how you can make a difference to families in your community. Please contact me if you would like more information.

Thank you,

Angela Robinson

Executive Director, Metro Detroit Division
